Last Friday my husband and I drove up to Vancouver, Washington to go to the store Boomba Toomba
Boomba Toomba (1705 Broadway St) is a boutique which specializes in local and sustainable toys and clothing items for babies and children.
My friend Shannon and her husband Nathan had registered here for baby items made by Pearly Grey. My husband I were both impressed with how cute and well constructed these items were, and we were delighted to pick up a Hospital Take-Out set. The set includes a onesie, hat, bib and a burp rag all accented with a fun vintage inspired atomic kid print.
If you are pregnant, have a friend who is pregnant, or have a child, then you must go and shop this store! Boomba Toomba is owned by the sweet Shayla of The Mysterious Life of the Metropolatin Housewife. Shayla has two adorable kids who were at the store with her- August (pictured above) and Margaux.
While in Vancouver I finally got a chance to go to The Urban Eccentric (2411 Main St), a store which is owned by Chris Jochum. This is also where the ever stylish Solonah (pictured above) of Vixen Vintage works at.
I was impressed with how reasonable the prices were at The Urban Eccentric - with items being priced at half what they would be in Portland!
We didn't get a chance to explore downtown Vancouver- but, I am looking forward to coming back and checking out Main Street some more. Main Street has a thrift store, antique stores, coffee shops as well as a cafe that specializes in soda!
